Outstanding research: KEBO awarded BSFZ seal
At KEBO, progress and sustainability are at the heart of what we do – which is why we are particularly delighted to have been awarded the BSFZ Seal by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. This recognition underscores our innovative strength and commitment to research.
The award highlights the significance of our R&D activities and encourages us to further strengthen our position as a driver of innovation in the industry. A key focus of our research is the long-term transition of our formulations to sustainable raw materials, enabling us to develop more environmentally friendly solutions for our customers.
Throughout this process, we were supported by EPSA Deutschland GmbH, a strategic consultancy specialising in funding opportunities. Thanks to their expertise, we successfully qualified for the Research Grant.

Our developments in the field of bio-based process aids help enhance the efficiency of production processes, optimise product quality, and at the same time reduce both energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for our customers.
The BSFZ Seal is awarded by the Certification Office for the Research Grant (BSFZ) to companies that successfully demonstrate their R&D activities and thus qualify for research funding. Small and medium-sized enterprises can receive funding of up to 35% of eligible expenses, with potential grants of up to €3.5 million per year. The products shown on our website are only a selection of our entire product range. There is no universal remedy for the rapid removal of impurities. Some can be removed well with alkaline agents, others better in the acidic range. The large variety of conceivable cleaning problems and the large number of additives, inhibitors and ready-to-use cleaning solutions offered by us make it advisable to obtain detailed advice before starting cleaning.
The same applies to inhibitors, defoamers, scale preventers, corrosion inhibitors, pickling inhibitors, etc. Depending on the plant, material, product and the type of boiler/cooling water is used, different individual challenges arise. We are well equipped for them.
