Description
Innovative formulation for effective defoaming and foam inhibition, specially developed for the requirements of the potato and starch industry, for applications at low temperatures between 10°C and 40°C in potato processing and starch production.
Benefits
- Particularly effective in destroying and preventing foams caused by plant substances such as proteins, starch, and extracellular oligosaccharides.
- Rapid wetting of the foam interfaces by foam-active surfactants, which leads to an immediate reduction in surface tension and thereby to the destabilization of the foam.
- Predominantly formulated on the basis of vegetable oils.
- Ensuring process and product quality through the economical use of processing aids.
Dosing, Addition
- The dosing points should always be at places with high turbulence like the suction side of pumps or control valves to ensure a homogeneous distribution of the product already within the foaming areas.
- The necessary dosing rates can quickly and easily be determined at site by variation of the pump settings. In general the addition of 5 to 25 ppm in the foaming area will be sufficient.
