Description

A specially developed formulation for effective defoaming and foam inhibition which is designed for use in sugar beet washing and fermentation processes. It is particularly suitable for applications at low temperatures between 5°C and 40°C, KEBOSPUM BWS develops its optimum performance in the washing channels in which sugar beets are freed from soil and dirt from late summer to winter with the intensive mixing of the sugar beets.

    Benefits

    • It can also be used in fermentation and fermenting processes at temperatures from 20°C to 40°C.
    • Effective prevention and destruction of foams that are caused by foam-forming substances, such as saponins, proteins, and extracellular oligosaccharides in the beet.
    • Rapid wetting of the foam interfaces by foam-active surfactants, which immediately reduce the surface tension and efficiently destabilize the foam.
    • Formulated on the basis of natural vegetable oils.
    • The high oil content ensures that the foam oil always remains on the surface, where it develops its maximum effect.
    • Particularly suitable for fermentation processes, as the high oil content prevents the agent from penetrating the cells, thereby unaffecting the growth and productivity of the organisms.
    • Ensures product quality and enables its improvement. At the same time, it optimizes operating costs by reducing the use of processing aids and making more efficient use of resources.

    Dosing, Addition

    • The dosing points should always be at places with high turbulence like the suction side of pumps or control valves to ensure a homogeneous distribution of KEBOSPUM BWS already within the foam forming areas.

      • The necessary dosing rates can quickly and easily be determined at site by variation of the pump adjustment. In general the addition of 5 to 15 ppm in the foaming area will be sufficient.
